PROSON
The list includes prisons and other secure correctional facilities in Canada, excluding local jails. Offenders with sentences of 24 months or more serve in federal correctional facilities under the Correctional Service of Canada. There are also provincial/territorial correctional facilities for offenders with shorter sentences or awaiting trial. Healing lodges and treatment centres cater to mental health and Indigenous offenders respectively.
