GENERAL ELECTRIC CANADA

General Electric Canada, formerly known as Canadian General Electric (CGE), is the wholly-owned Canadian unit of General Electric. Established in 1892 through a merger of two Canadian electrical companies, CGE produced generators, transformers, motors, wire, cable, and lighting products for consumer and industrial use. Over the years, the company expanded its operations in Canada, manufacturing various products such as household appliances, lamps, and electric meters. In 1989, CGE became General Electric Canada, continuing its legacy of producing electrical products across the country.
