ERRINGTON CEDAR PRODUCTS
Errington Cedar Products, a family-owned cedar sawmill located in the central Vancouver Island community of Errington, British Columbia, recently closed its doors after almost three decades of operation. The sawmill, which specialized in processing western red cedar, yellow cedar, hemlock, and balsam, supplied specialty timbers, posts, beams, and standard cut stock to markets in North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Unfortunately, the mill faced foreclosure in October, resulting in around 60 job losses.
