CROW IN WHITE

A rare leucistic crow, with nearly all white feathers except for its head, was sighted in Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor by resident Hillary Gocze. Leucism, a color abnormality in birds, results in partial loss of pigmentation. This unique crow has been observed among the usual crows and Canada geese in the area. Leucism and albinism have been sporadically recorded in bird populations in Maine. This unusual sighting has captured the attention of bird enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, adding a special touch to the local wildlife sightings in the region.
