Clture diger refers to a group of agrarian communists who thrived in England in 1649-50, led by Gerrard Winstanley and William Everard. Beginning with the cultivation of common land at St. George's Hill in Surrey, the Diggers believed that land should be made available for the very poor to cultivate following the execution of Charles I. Despite facing opposition and dispersal by the end of March 1650, the Diggers advocated for communal farming and equitable land distribution.
