The Canadian Judicial Council (CJC) was established in 1971 by the Canadian Parliament with the primary objective of upholding and enhancing the quality of judicial services in Canada's superior courts. Comprised of 44 members, including federally appointed judges and chaired by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, the CJC is dedicated to ensuring Canadian citizens have access to effective, fair, and consistent judicial services by promoting modern practices aligned with societal values.
